Personality Plus

I was playing with Jackson in his room one day, and he kept going into the closet and making very strange noises. It may only be amusing to me, but I finally grabbed the video camera and recorded him for a bit. He also loves to throw open the doors and laugh - I'm surprised they haven't fallen off as violently as he does it sometimes.

For three months old, Liam already has loads of personality. He's very social and loves to smile and laugh and try to talk. This is just a short video of us having a conversation.

Another video of Jackson being a little odd and animated. While we were watching Jeopardy the other night (Jackson's most favorite show), a sunglasses commercial with Raquel Welch came on. Every time Jackson heard "Raquel Welch", he would pretend he was falling down on the dining room floor and say, "Ouch!" Of course, Jonathan kept rewinding on the Tivo, and Jackson kept falling down on the floor. He did it for a full five minutes before I grabbed the camera. Strange child.

Two short videos of Jackson at the parks. The first is my mom pushing Jackson on the swing - the poor kid's feet kept dragging. The second is a short video of the splash pad at Carl Cowan Park. If you look closely, you can spot Jackson skittering around. He's the only kid wearing shoes. You can also hear his squealing above all the other noise.

Jackson sings the Jeopardy theme! He started doing this a couple weeks ago - strange what kids pick up. Sorry for the poor lighting/sound quality. (Also, please pardon the crazy toy mess in the corner. We don't even try to pick it up before Jackson goes to bed.)

Easter Bouncing

Jackson had a blast on the trampoline at Aunt Leigh's house. He dumped his entire box of animal crackers in the middle of the trampoline and proceeded to eat a few every time he happened to cruise by. He was even walking on them, but I suppose kids need a little dirt every now and then, too. Enjoy the giggles!

Jackson Counting

Jackson has been counting "1... 2... 3..." for a few months, but he's recently started to pick up other numbers. He still misses a few, or gets them out of order, or adds a number where no number is needed - but, he's doing well with it. And, he's cute as buttons when he counts along with this little blip on TV...

Shower Fun

Jackson used to HATE it when we would turn the shower on during his bath. Suddenly, though, he seems to have had a change of heart. Jonathan summoned me to the bathroom last night, and I caught the tail end of Jackson's play time in the tub. I think he would spend all day in there if we'd let him.

Jackson's 2nd Birthday Party

Jackson's 2nd birthday party went off without a hitch, and these are the few videos that I took. He was less interested in his cake than last year and only slightly more interested in presents - but, he sure loved the cards.

Jackson's 2nd Christmas

As you can see, Jackson was not hugely interested in the idea of Christmas or opening his presents. In some cases, he was a real pill about it - though, he did enjoy distracting himself with all his new toys and books. The first five videos are of our little Christmas morning at home, the sixth is Jonathan trying to show Jackson how to make his Slinky go down the stairs, and the seventh is Jackson being a goof (with help from Aunt Leigh) at Johnny & Manya's house later in the day.

I'm sure Jackson will better understand the concept of Christmas and gifts next year, and we won't be able to keep him from opening them all long enough to even turn the video camera on!
